• Wear something comfortable with a low or loose neckline. Avoid tight collars, hoodies, or anything you don’t want near hair color or product. Avoid wearing expensive, sentimental tops. Your clothes will be under a cape, but accidents happen! We always have robes available to change into if your outfit isn’t ideal. Neutrals photograph best if you’re open to before and after photos!

    Please feel free to bring snacks, drinks, your laptop to get work done, or even a book to read. We want you to be comfortable throughout your whole appointment.

    Inspo Pics -

    Bring 2-3 realistic inspo photos of what you love (and what you don’t!). Pro tip : search for inspo pics similar to your hair texture, type, and natural color.

    Your Current Hair History -

    Tell me everything! Be honest about past color, chemical treatments, and products used. I won’t judge you, we’ve all been there! If you can, write down your current haircare products and routine so I can give my best recommendations.

  • Arrive With Dry, Clean, Straight Hair -

    Unless Sophia requests otherwise, the cleaner the better! But, no worries if you didn’t wash the night before, thats totally fine! As long as there is no heavy product buildup. If you need to wash the day of your appointment, please fully dry your hair before arriving! If you have naturally curly hair, please come to your appointment with your hair as straight and smooth as possible.

    Skip Heavy Products -

    Avoiding oils and strong hold products will help Sophia evaluate your hair’s natural texture. Please do not come in with excessive dry shampoo or root sprays. Root color sprays may lead to rescheduling the appointment, as this affects the color application.

  • Give Yourself Some Wiggle Room -

    Sometimes appointments can go long. It’s best to give yourself extra time just in case. We want you to enjoy every minute and relax.

    Good Hair Takes Time -

    Big transformations (like going very dark to very blonde, or vice versa) might take multiple sessions!

    About 3.5-5 hours depending on hair density and how much change

    All Over Color or Gloss -

    About 2 hours

    Cut -

    1-1.5 hours on average
